The Weave renewal landed, or the analytics tab is not doing what the demo suggested. Before you list alternatives, decide what Weave is for in your office. For most practices it is the phones and the texting. The analytics is a tab. Those are two different shopping lists, so this page splits them.
What Weave is
On 13 October 2026 Weave’s site calls itself an “All-in-one communication platform for small business” and lists Phones with Call Pop, Texting, Team Chat, Email Marketing, Reminders, Digital Forms, Scheduling, Reviews, Billing and Payments, Insurance Verification, CareCredit, Analytics and Call Intelligence, plus an AI Receptionist. Its pricing page shows Pro, Elite and Ultimate “starting from $199 per month,” per-plan prices not shown, with Practice Analytics marked “(dental only).” The page does not say which plan includes it.
Alternatives for the phones and texting
Adit. AI front desk, Adit Voice (VoIP), texting, email, forms, online scheduling, reminders, reviews, analytics, payments and claims. No published subscription price; promotions include free phones “for life” under an annual agreement. Pick it if you want the same all-in-one shape with an AI receptionist in front.
Practice by Numbers. PbN Voice as an add-on, two-way texting, reminders, campaigns, reviews, forms, payments and an AI receptionist, with Business Analytics in the same product across 25 practice systems. “Start as low as $249/mo.” Pick it if you want communications and deeper analytics from one vendor.
Dental Intelligence. Patient engagement, scheduling, payments, insurance and an AI receptionist alongside its analytics. No published price, SOC 2 Type 2 claimed. Pick it if you want a large suite and a SOC 2 report matters.
Your PMS’s own texting. Open Dental’s eServices send reminders at $0.04 per outgoing message plus a number fee, per its fee page. It will not replace a phone system, but it covers reminders.
Alternatives for the analytics tab
Calibic. This is our product. It is read-only on Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft and does not do phones, texting, campaigns, forms or payments at all. What it does: a ranked daily list in dollars (Focus today), Daily Huddle, Smart recall, Protect (a private audit trail of deleted payments and adjustments), Ask with sources, and Recovered, counted only when the PMS shows the work booked, completed and paid. Local ranking and Competitor Insights too. All LIVE. Drafted review replies are BETA. $149 per location per month, or $119 billed annually. No SOC 2 report; built for HIPAA with a Business Associate Agreement sent with every sign up. Pick it if you keep a phone vendor and want the numbers layer at a known price. Skip it if you want one bill.
Jarvis Analytics. Group analytics with a Henry Schein One logo, fifty-plus KPIs, eleven practice systems, no published price. Pick it for multi-location roll-ups.
Your PMS reports. Open Dental’s Production and Income report, Recall List and Treatment Finder are included in support ($199 per location per month for 12 months, then $149). Dentrix has the Unscheduled Treatment Plans report and Practice Advisor. Free, if someone runs them.

Before you sign anything
- Ask for the price of the plan that includes the features you were shown, not the starting price.
- Ask whether the product writes to your database. Open Dental keeps a public list of third-party vendors and their authorisation status.
- Ask what “revenue found” means in their dashboard: scheduled, completed or paid. Calibic counts recovered only when paid.
As of 13 October 2026. Calibic is not affiliated with any vendor named here.
Next step: read Calibic vs Weave, or see the Protect page for what an audit trail of payment changes looks like.
