Weave answers your phones. Calibic reads your practice software. Most practices that ask “Calibic vs Weave” are really asking whether Weave’s analytics tab is enough, or whether they need a separate numbers product. This page answers that without pretending the two do the same job.
What Weave is
Weave calls itself an “All-in-one communication platform for small business,” with healthcare as its main market. On 13 October 2026 its site lists Phones with Call Pop, Texting, Team Chat, Email Marketing, Reminders, Digital Forms, Scheduling, Reviews, Billing and Payments, Insurance Verification, CareCredit financing, Analytics and Call Intelligence. Its AI features include an AI Receptionist, Call Intelligence, a Response Assistant for review replies, an Email Assistant and voicemail transcription.
Its pricing page lists three plans, Pro, Elite and Ultimate, “starting from $199 per month,” with per-plan prices not shown and an enterprise option. Practice Analytics is marked “(dental only)” on that page. Which plan includes it is not stated on the page, so ask before you buy if analytics is the reason.
What Calibic is
Calibic is a read-only intelligence layer for Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft. It reads the database and never writes to it. It gives you Focus today, a ranked daily list in dollars (LIVE); Daily Huddle (LIVE); Smart recall (LIVE); Protect, a private audit trail of payment changes (LIVE); Ask, plain-English questions with sources (LIVE); and Recovered, counted only once the PMS shows the work booked, completed and paid (LIVE). Local ranking and Competitor Insights are LIVE. Review monitoring is LIVE and drafted replies are BETA. $149 per location per month, or $119 billed annually.
Where Weave is stronger
- It is a phone system. Call Pop, voicemail, team chat, texting from the practice number. Calibic has no phones and no texting.
- Reminders, forms, payments and insurance verification in one app.
- An AI receptionist that answers calls when the desk is busy.
- Scale. Weave serves many more locations than Calibic does.
Where Calibic is different
- Analytics is the whole product, not a tab. Calibic ranks opportunities in dollars and hides the rest.
- A published, single price with everything included. Weave publishes a starting price and tiers the rest.
- Protect. A private audit trail of deleted payments, adjustments and write-offs, built from the PMS’s own log tables. Weave does not list this.
- Found versus recovered. Calibic counts money as recovered only when the ledger shows it paid.
- Read-only toward the practice software. Weave writes appointments and payments; Calibic cannot.

What Calibic does not do
No texting, no campaigns, no phones, no patient forms, no payments, no insurance verification, no AI receptionist. Texting and campaigns are ROADMAP and shown as a simulation today. Review monitoring is LIVE; drafted replies are BETA and you post them yourself; it does not post for you. No SOC 2 report. Built for HIPAA, with a Business Associate Agreement sent with every sign up.
Pick Weave if
- You need a phone system, or yours is out of contract.
- You want texting, reminders and payments from the practice number in one app.
- You want an AI receptionist.
Pick Calibic if
- You keep your phones and reminders and want a separate numbers and audit layer.
- You want a price you can budget today.
- You want Protect and a recovered figure you can verify in your own PMS.
Most Calibic practices keep a communications vendor. Calibic reads the database and changes nothing, so the two do not conflict.
