The phone contract is up for renewal and the reminders vendor just raised its price. Adit’s pitch is to replace all of it with one platform. Calibic’s pitch is narrower: read your practice software, show you what to act on, and change nothing. These are not the same purchase, so this page says where they overlap and where they do not.

What Adit is

Adit calls itself “the all-in-one AI powered platform for better patient care.” On 13 October 2026 its site groups its modules as: AI Front Desk, AI Call Intelligence, AI Web Chat Agent and CRM; Adit Voice (VoIP), Texting, Email, Internal Chat, eFax and a mobile app; Digital Forms, Online Scheduling, Reminders, Reviews and Tasks; Practice Analytics, Treatment Plans, CareCredit and Patient Recall; and Adit Pay, Insurance Verifications, Claims, Payment Posting, Denial Management and Accounts Receivable. “AI Recare” is marked Coming Soon. It says it is “Trusted by 5,000+ practices.” Its demo form lists Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, Curve and Easy Dental among the systems it asks about.

Adit does not publish a subscription price. Its pricing page shows gift card offers and a “Cut your software bill by up to 60%” claim, and its terms mention an annual agreement. Third-party sites list a figure, but it is not from the vendor, so it is not repeated here.

What Calibic is

Calibic is a read-only intelligence layer for Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft. It reads tables like procedurelog, payment and securitylog and never writes to them. Focus today, Daily Huddle, Smart recall, Protect, Ask and Recovered are LIVE. Local ranking and Competitor Insights are LIVE. Review monitoring is LIVE and drafted replies are BETA. $149 per location per month, or $119 billed annually, published.

Where Adit is stronger

  • Everything a front desk touches. Phones, texting, forms, online scheduling, reminders, payments, claims and an AI front desk. Calibic has none of these.
  • Patient acquisition. CRM, web chat and call intelligence are about new patients. Calibic looks at patients already in your database.
  • Vendor consolidation. One bill instead of five, if that is the goal.

Where Calibic is different

  • A published price with everything included.
  • Read-only. Adit’s modules write to your practice software by design (scheduling, forms, payment posting). Calibic cannot. Note that Open Dental maintains a public list of third-party vendors and their authorisation status; check it for any vendor that writes to your database.
  • Protect. A private audit trail of deleted payments, adjustments and write-offs. An operations suite does not do this.
  • Found versus recovered. Calibic counts money as recovered only when the PMS shows the treatment booked, completed and paid.
  • Ranked by dollars, with the noise removed. Calibic’s job is a short list, not a bigger dashboard.

What Calibic does not do

No texting, no campaigns, no phones, no patient forms, no payments, no claims, no CRM. Texting and campaigns are ROADMAP and shown as a simulation today. No SOC 2 report. Built for HIPAA, and a Business Associate Agreement is sent with every sign up.

Pick Adit if

  • You want to replace your phone system and your reminders vendor at the same time.
  • You want an AI receptionist answering calls.
  • You want one vendor for the whole front desk.

Pick Calibic if

  • You like your current phones and reminders and want only the numbers and the audit trail.
  • You want to see the price before you book a demo.
  • You want a vendor with no write access to your database.

Running both is fine. Calibic reads the same database and does not interfere with anything Adit writes.

Next step: see the Front Desk and End of Day page, or read Calibic vs Weave.

As of 13 October 2026. Calibic is not affiliated with Adit.
