You have a demo booked with Dental Intelligence and someone sent you a link to Calibic. Both say they find money in your practice software. They are not the same size of product, and the price is not the same kind of number. Here is the plain version.

What Dental Intelligence is

Dental Intelligence calls itself “Dentistry’s All-in-One Practice Performance Platform.” On 13 October 2026 its site lists Analytics and Reporting, Payments and Revenue Cycle Management, Scheduling, Insurance Verification and Claims, Patient Engagement, and a new AI Receptionist. It says it is “Trusted by more than 10,000 practices nationwide” and lists Open Dental, Open Dental Clinics, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend and Denticon as supported systems. Its FAQ says it is SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI-DSS compliant.

That is a suite. Analytics is one part of it. If you want your reminders, online scheduling, payments and insurance work in the same login as your numbers, that is the product to look at.

What Calibic is

Calibic is a read-only intelligence layer on top of Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft. It reads tables like Open Dental’s procedurelog, appointment and securitylog. It never writes, edits or deletes a record. It gives you a ranked daily list in dollars (Focus today, LIVE), a morning list for the team (Daily Huddle, LIVE), overdue recall sorted by who is most likely to say yes (Smart recall, LIVE), a private audit trail of payment and adjustment changes (Protect, LIVE), plain-English questions with sourced answers (Ask, LIVE) and a Recovered figure that only counts money once the practice software shows it booked, completed and paid (LIVE). Local ranking and Competitor Insights are LIVE. Review monitoring is LIVE and drafted replies are BETA.

Where Dental Intelligence is stronger

  • Breadth. Payments, scheduling, insurance verification, engagement and an AI receptionist in one place. Calibic has none of those.
  • Scale and track record. More than 10,000 practices by its own count, and a SOC 2 Type 2 report. Calibic does not hold a SOC 2 report today.
  • More practice systems. Dentrix Ascend and Denticon are on its list. Calibic reads Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft only.

Where Calibic is different

  • A published price. $149 per location per month, or $119 billed annually. Dental Intelligence does not publish a price; its pricing page returned a 404 when checked and third-party estimates are not vendor figures, so none are repeated here.
  • Found is not recovered. Calibic shows an opportunity as found, and moves it to Recovered only when the PMS shows the treatment booked, completed and paid. You can check every recovered dollar against your own ledger.
  • Protect. A private audit trail of deleted payments, adjustments and write-offs built from the PMS’s own log tables. That is a different job from a performance dashboard.
  • Read-only by design. No write access to your database, ever. See why read-only integrations are safer.

What Calibic does not do

It does not text or call patients, run campaigns, provide phones, take payments, hold patient forms or read X-rays. Texting and campaigns are on the roadmap and shown as a simulation today. It does not claim HIPAA certification; it is built for HIPAA and a Business Associate Agreement is sent with every sign up.

Pick Dental Intelligence if

  • You want to replace three or four vendors with one suite.
  • You need Dentrix Ascend or Denticon.
  • Your group requires a SOC 2 report before any vendor is signed.

Pick Calibic if

  • You already have reminders and phones you like, and want the numbers layer only.
  • You want to know the price before the demo.
  • You want an audit trail and a recovered figure you can verify in your own PMS.

Some practices run both for a month. Calibic reads the same database and changes nothing, so it does not interfere.

Next step: see Revenue Recovery for how found becomes recovered, or compare Calibic vs Practice by Numbers.

As of 13 October 2026. Calibic is not affiliated with Dental Intelligence.
